About Our Birds
Simply stated: We LOVE our birds.
We take the greatest care of them and it shows. They have been bred from generations of superior stock and are able to return home from distances of several hundred miles.
There is some confusion these days over the pedigree of the dove. Doves are part of the Columbidae family of birds, of which there are some three hundred species, which include pigeons and doves. The common pigeon is actually a type of dove known as the “rock dove”.
Many unethical persons, in the interest of making a larger profit, will use white ring neck doves or pigeons from a poultry farm. These birds aren’t the proper doves for release, and are in fact, condemned to death in the wild, as they are unable to find and fly their way home.
We breed, train and use the ONLY birds that should be used for release: white homing racing pigeons.
